Country Lifers Reconsidered: Educational Reform for Rural America

This paper examines the historical aspects of Roosevelt's Country movement and the short-term and long-term effects it had on rural education. It also discus~es the poss!bllity that some components of the past curricula used during the Country Life movement may stl11 be appropnate for rural schools today.
