Biography


Konstantinos Kaplanis holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Democritus University of Thrace. He completed postgraduate studies in Special Education and Training, earning an M.Ed jointly awarded by the University of Nicosia (CY) and the University of Patras (GR). He also holds a Master of Arts (MA) in School Social Work, specializing in Social Work in Education and the Inclusion of Diversities, from Democritus University of Thrace. He has also completed the one-year Specialization Program in Counselling and Guidance at the School of Pedagogical and Technological Education, as well as the one-year professional development programme Teachers' Capacity Building for the Integration of Refugee and Migrant Children in Greece (Teach.In.G) at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He is currently undertaking advanced training in Systemic and Family Therapy at the Center for Systemic Therapy Studies (Kesmeth) in Athens, Greece.

He is also an active member of the Hellenic Association of Social Workers. His research interests focus on School Social Work, Gender-Based Violence (GBV), School-Related Gender-Based Violence (SRGBV), school bullying, inclusive education, mental health promotion, and the application of systemic and narrative approaches in educational settings.
