Aims and Scope

Aims and Scope

The Journal of International Agricultural and Extension Education (JIAEE) publishes high‑quality, peer‑reviewed scholarship that advances understanding of how education, learning, communication, and engagement processes strengthen agricultural, food, environmental, and community systems around the world.

Our aim is to foster rigorous, globally relevant research that examines how individuals, organizations, and institutions build capacity, support behavior change, and co‑create solutions to complex challenges affecting food systems, public health, environmental sustainability, community well‑being, and rural and urban livelihoods. We welcome interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary work that bridges research, practice, and policy across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.

JIAEE invites submissions from scholars and practitioners working in fields such as agricultural and extension education, food systems, public health, nutrition, sustainability science, environmental studies, community development, communication, sociology, economics, and international development. We publish empirical research, theoretical and conceptual contributions, methodological innovations, and integrative reviews.

Agricultural, extension, and advisory systems: design, delivery, governance, and evaluation
Food systems education and engagement, including nutrition education, food security, and food sovereignty
Public health, One Health, and the agriculture–environment–health interface
